Our sister project Dragon Cafe in the City is hosting a live reading event with Ben Okri from 7pm – 8pm on Wednesday 23rd October 2019 at the Barbican Library (map).
Ben Okri is a multiple award-winning poet, novelist and playwright whose works include The Famished Road, The Freedom Artist, Prayer for the Living and the film script N: The Madness of Reason. Born in Nigeria and living in London, Okri is Vice-President of the English Centre of International PEN and was presented with the Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum for his outstanding contribution to the arts and cross-cultural understanding. His works have been translated into 26 languages.
Hear from Okri as he reads from his published works and discusses the themes of madness and reason, freedom and living.
