We have been awarded funding from the Wellcome Trust to deliver an innovative two-year arts and research programme between 2019 and 2021 we’re calling Create, Relate, Integrate.
Facilitated by a diversity of artists and creative practitioners in collaboration with mental health researchers, this project will offer an exciting programme of 10 creative dialogue workshops and 6 creative productions, as well as produce 6 podcasts and 6 videos, over the two years.
Artists and practitioners with lived experience will lead on the delivery of our creative activities. Working alongside them, the researchers will better understand the diversity of people’s experiences of mental healthcare systems and provide people with lived experience a greater opportunity to take an active role in research.
These dialogue workshops and creative productions will be run across a number of venues in London. We’ll also be working with service user groups in other parts of the UK, supporting them to set up their own community spaces and develop creative programmes connected with mental health research.
